BLOGGING MARTIAN BOOMER CARNIVAL #20

RV Rhea, from the Boomer Chronicles is now hosting the Blogging Martian Boomer Chronicles #20 as RV Rhea has led 78 million Baby Boomers on a space expedition to Mars.

Tired of the whining diaper generations X and Y, complaining about how lousy the Earth has become in the Baby Boomer years, the boomers took off, lock, stock and coffee latte, to the red planet, Mars.

Life Two, paid for the trip by asking a man who won 315 million dollars, and regreted it, to pay all the travelling expenses.

The red planet is hot and lousy on the skin (wrinkles and sun spots.) All the Boomer women demanded facelifts at Cafe Glam, after a superstar, refused to ruin her looks without one, before boarding for Mars.

Gen plus confirmed, we Boomers want our privacy, which seperated us from those monkey Gens climbing out from youtube all day.

We were alowed only 300 calorie meals on the trip which yourdrum supplied info on.

Our space ships were equiped with AM radio single dash speakers, like the good old days, from I remember JFK.

And each ship had a "Midlife Crisis Band" selected by Man-O-Pause, to ease the long journey through middle space.

Fortunately, for some men, but unfortunate for others, more men died on the trip than women and that allowed some men to take advantage of the situation in such close quarters, reports So, baby boomer.

Ann, from Contemporary Retirement, went form ship to ship, having Boomers priortize what they wanted to do for the rest of their life on Mars.

Back to Rv Rhea, she banned floss in outerspace and recommended a new means for both tooth care and a healthy smile.

BILL MOYER'S OUTSTANDING SHOW:"BUYING THE WAR" or HOW BUSH'S ADMINISTRATION CONNED AMERICA

In case you didn't see "Buying the War" on Bill Moyers Journal on PBS, it was a terrific piece of tv journalism. Bill showed how the media bought the Bush's administrations made-up assertions that Iraq had weapons of mass desrtuction.

It explores how America was hustled and duped into believing what Bush and Cheeny wanted us to believe.

"How did the mainstream press get it so wrong? How did the evidence disputing the existence of weapons of mass destruction and the link between Saddam Hussein to 9-11 continue to go largely unreported? "What the conservative media did was easy to fathom; they had been cheerleaders for the White House from the beginning and were simply continuing to rally the public behind the President — no questions asked. How mainstream journalists suspended skepticism and scrutiny remains an issue of significance that the media has not satisfactorily explored," says Moyers. "How the administration marketed the war to the American people has been well covered, but critical questions remain: How and why did the press buy it, and what does it say about the role of journalists in helping the public sort out fact from propaganda?"

LORI EARLEY'S PAINTINGS ARE REALISTIC DISTORTIONS OF FEELINGS IN AN OTHERWORLD

Lori Earley has that pop/surrealist sensability, I like. A bit goth, dreamlike, cartoonish yet, realistic with an otherworldly reverb.

Lori got her break in 2005, having her painting, "The Hunter" appear on the cover of the avant garde pop magazine of the arts Juxtapoz.
