Chris Anderson of Wired Magazine has written a book, "The long Tail," about a new marketing philosophy - Niche marketing. The culture explodes into a thousand small cultures, all with different interests. Are you sick of the entertainment Industry etc. trying to find the next super, gigantic, big thing to sell you? - Enough of the blockbuster, homogenize me, mentality. So niche marketing becomes the revenge of good taste and the death of "common culture." And the emergence of what use to be called individuality. Did you say drop you off at the mall?
